Lady Armchair Details:

Designed by Marco Zanuso in 1951 and currently produced by Cassina, this armchair is an iconic piece of Italian design that stands out for its combination of technical innovation, comfort and elegance. Conceived as one of the first armchairs to incorporate advanced industrial materials for its time, it introduced the use of polyurethane foam and reinforced elastic webbing suspension systems, significantly improving seating and backrest comfort. Its structure consists of a tubular steel frame and poplar plywood armrests, while the upholstery padding combines different densities of foam and layers of polyester fiber to provide a comfortable and durable seating experience. Aesthetically, it is characterized by its soft, enveloping shapes, balanced by slender metal legs that create a sense of visual lightness and sophistication.
Available in a wide range of fabric and leather upholsteries, including quilted versions, the Lady preserves the essence of the original design while adapting to contemporary requirements.
